The master programme in Urban Design takes its point of departure in a number
of current and future challenges in the field of urban development and urban design.
By way of a solid and professional foundation in subjects, methods, theories
and disciplines spanning from urban building design and technologies to knowledge
about modelling and user involvement, the master programme in Urban Design ensures
a broad, interdisciplinary competence profile aimed at the urban design, urban
planning and urban development professions with job opportunities at private drawing
studios, consultancies and in public administrations.
The education offers each student a creative combination of problem-based learning
and realistic projects with “hands-on” challenges that equip the student to address
challenges pertaining to e.g. climate change, temporary urban development projects,
urban mobility, projects and strategies of the culture city, the urban landscape,
and city growth.
